Diamond Sports Group Event STAY&SAVE Policy What is Stay&Save? In its purest form, Stay&Save is a policy that requires every athlete to book with Connections Housing, the official housing partner of Diamond Sports to keep costs to a minimum for parents and event organizer. Stay&Save is a tight partnership with Connections Housing, Diamond Sports Group, hotels, coaches, athletes, and parents. Diamond Sports Group’s goal is to enhance the housing experience of the tournament by selecting the best possible hotels, improve professionalism, keep rates / registration costs low, and protect guests if there are issues with hotels. Parents who choose not to stay at the host hotel will be assessed a $50 convenience fee. What Does the Policy Say? Diamond Sports Group has initiated a Stay&Save policy that requires parents, coaches, and athletes to book with Connections Housing to be eligible to participate in the Event. Parents and coaches are responsible to make sure their athletes comply with the policy and Diamond Sports Group. Why Have This Policy? Most parents and hotels prefer Stay&Save because it helps assure hotel blocks will be filled and parent’s athletes stay with other athletes. By filling these blocks, it helps offset the cost of the event, provides complimentary meeting space and promotes discounted rates. Hotels have specific clauses which protects the room type booked as well as protecting rates and eliminate other hotel charges. What are the Benefits of Stay&Save? There are many reasons why Diamond Sports Group moved to a Stay&Save policy. The most important ones for the participants include: • Event Cancelation Insurance is provided if the event we have to cancel for any reason you will not be charged by the hotel. • Familiarity with a single process and system. • Free meeting space to keep cost down for athlete’s parents. • Parents are assured lowest rates at properties that best meet the needs of the athletes. • Easy check-in with pre-registered guests list. • Guaranteed comfortable double-double rooms. What if You Are Local? If you are located at a distance that can travel to Diamond Sports Group Event, you will be provided a waiver. Diamond Sports Group has determined that 90 miles is a reasonable distance that will allow teams to drive to the venue without staying at Diamond Sports Group team hotels. This distance is measured by the driving distance between the host event address and your home address. Please note that you are still eligible to take advantage of the low rates and Diamond Sports Group hotels if you desire to stay at the team hotel. Note there are numerous meetings and seminars during the event which are held at the team hotel. Please complete a waiver form if you qualify. What if You Want to Use Hotel Points to Book Room? You can book your stay using points directly with any hotel. We do request that a waiver form be completed with an attached reservation confirmation indicating you used points to book the room
